Tips for clean-looking scans

Photograph documents on a plain, dark surface in good daylight and hold the phone straight above the page. If a photo comes out crooked, straighten and crop it first in Postscript's Photo Editor, then add it to the PDF.

Need to edit the PDF afterwards?

Postscript Pro adds PDF tools for merging several PDFs, splitting out pages, deleting pages, rotating pages and adding page numbers.

Keep the file size down

Phone photos are large, so a PDF of ten of them can easily pass 20 MB. If you need to email it, shrink the photos first with the free Resize/compress image task (around 1600 px wide is plenty for a readable document page), then make the PDF.

Reading-friendly scans

Crop out the table or floor around each page and make sure the text is level. A clean, cropped photo is much easier for the person receiving it to read and print.
