How to rotate a PDF and save it the right way up
Rotating a PDF in a viewer usually only changes how you see it, not the file itself, so it's sideways again for whoever you send it to. Rotating it properly saves the fix into the PDF.
Step by step
- Open the File Editor. Choose Rotate PDF.
- Upload the PDF. Pick the sideways file.
- Choose the angle. 90° right, 180° or 90° left.
- Download. Save the corrected PDF.
Avoid sideways scans next time
Most phone scanning apps decide the orientation from the text on the page. Hold the phone directly above the page, parallel to it, and they'll usually get it right first time.
Only some pages sideways?
If just a few pages are rotated wrongly, split those pages out with Split PDF, rotate them, and merge everything back together in order with Merge PDFs.
